| We have considered all the significant purchasing criteria from your aspect as a client, purchaser, care giver, health professional, consultant or specifier. This means that we evaluate each product individually, and then determine how it sits in relation to the key criteria, which are important to you when selecting the appropriate furniture or product. |
| Our assessment of products comprises of elements of form and function to give degrees of value accordingly. In healthcare and rehabilitation product design, our emphasis has been turned more to function whilst ensuring that the form does not suffer in providing the solution required. |
| form has its basis in great design. It also incorporates the highest level of functional performance and excellent value for money over an extended period of time. |
| function ensures that the product operates with functionality appropriate to the users needs and abilities. |
| value is a cost effective means of assessing your potential outlay. Value is calculated to reflect product life and functionality, eg. in office ergonomics, improved functionality almost always results in reduced injuries, a better workplace and therefore greater productivity. |
The combination of form + function allows you to objectively determine value according to your financial means. form + function = ºvalue |
| We test our seating and bedding products using Force Sensing Array (FSA). This is a clinical tool that is used to assess pressure distribution and positioning. Information from the FSA is displayed on a computer screen as colour graphics and data. |

|
| We then are able to test various products against each other. Decisions such as choosing foam densities and types of mattresses and chairs are made easier and we are able to check on the claims made by manufacturers. In addition, we research current literature on positioning and its effect as observed with products. |

|
| Selecting a product by trialling it is extremely important. That is why we are setting up outlets throughout Australia. We also have some tools that can assist you with making an informed decision based on Functionality & Performance. These tools include: |
| Getting key information on products to make an informed selection decision can be confusing and time consuming. Our Ergonomic Assessment System Index (EASI™) is a proprietary tool developed in conjunction with Health Practitioners and research to give you a simplified research based consumer perspective into product selection. |
| The EASI™ system puts the key information from research into your hands and gives you the ability to compare the functionality and performance of products and what features to look for in products. It is displayed against our key products in store and on our website. |
| The product categories where this rating currently applies are: |

The EASI™ System provides a research based supplement to the Time Rating and Functionality Index discussed in this section |
|
|
| The Time of Use Rating provides time of use guidelines based on the overall components that make up the product. It also give the user an indication of how long this product could be used for at any one time. Recommended break periods are also shown. |
| This index allows the user to immediately identify the functionality level that the product provides. It makes no objective comparison of functionality to ergonomic performance. Ergonomic performance can be obtained from the EASI™ Rating System. |
