General Office Chairs are what most people look at when making a purchasing decision on a chair.  

The different types of General Office Chairs are based on the functionality that the chair mechanisms offers.   A basic mechanism on a General Office Chair is an entry level chair mechanism and has limited functionality.   It is therefore not recommended for long periods of sitting.

Having a higher level of chair mechanism functionality on a General Office Chair will allow a user to sit for longer periods of time.   It however does not offer the  level of support and increased recommended sitting times offered by Dynamic Seating and Dynamic Seating+ Chairs.
